Tiger Woods statement -- My God, he is such a HERO.
As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I’m pretty sore.
This situation is my fault, and it’s obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I’m human and I’m not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn’t happen again.
This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.
The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.
This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be.
Last night, I went out and grabbed a few beers with some high school friends in Fayetteville. We went to a small bar so that we could avoid the high-strung, awkward conversations with other high school classmates and actually just catch up. We had a great time until this obnxious hippie comes into the bar. He’s hammered. And probably high on ‘shrooms. He tries to light his cig in a fake fireplace. We’d had enough.
About the time my blood pressure rose to a new high, I noticed a jukebox in the back corner of the bar. If there’s one thing that will probably piss a hippie off — it’s playing 80’s music. I grabbed five bucks and headed to the juke box to pick out 10 songs. Here’s last night’s playlist:
1) Steve Winwood - Higher Love
2) Van Halen - Jump
3) Genesis - I Can’t Dance
4) Buckcherry - Crazy Bitch
5) Phil Collins - In the Air Tonight
6) Mr. Mister - Kyrie
7) A-Ha - Take on Me
8) Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar on Me
9) Cyndi Lauper - Time After Time
10) Journey - Don’t Stop Believin’
Needless to say, the hippie was incensed. Deal with it, son.
When I started this sad state of affairs a year and a half ago, I think there were four or five people on Tumblr. One of whom, Literally, Genevieve Clare, was a part of the inspiration for Loafersansocks. Reckner found that blog through a friend and then we all became pals — either real or internet. In the last year, I’ve encountered a ton of blogs on Tumblr that are great. I wanted to take a minute to recognize some of those. You won’t see any of the blogs that are constantly seen on the POPULAR portion of Tumblr. These are just people I’ve run across either because they showed interest in my blog or because I ran into them on the vast interwebz. (In no particular order)
Many people think that Leighton is a more formidable bombshell. I’m fine with that. But my love for Blake Lively is unwavering. Unwavering I say. Also, you all remember how long I’ve been posting pictures of Blake Lively. It’s been close to a year. And people are just now jumping on the bandwagon. And by people I really mean magazines.
Also, just recently a good friend of mine (who I happened to meet because our girlfriends are really good friends) texted me to say that he had officially converted from Leighton to Blake. I can’t leave this worthy cause now. People need me to spread the Blake Lively word.
