1) Did you always want to go to law school? Always want to be a lawyer? If not, what?
No to the first question so no to the second question. It was always in the back of my mind, but it was a recent decision based on my previous work experience. With that being said, my current roommate and I had a wild plan to move out to Montana or Wyoming and finding random jobs. I was planning on trying to write for a small town newspaper for a year and live with some random family who happened to have a smoking hot daughter who ranched. That plan fell apart for a few reasons: a) I met Reckner; let’s face it — that seemed to work out quite well for me; b) we both got great job opportunities in Raleigh; c) I found out that hot chicks aren’t usually ranchers in Wyoming.
2) How pissed are you that Duke won the national championship?
Not that pissed, frankly. Unlike many of my former classmates, Duke is not my least favorite team. There’s absolutely no question that NC State takes the trophy for most despicable school and sporting program on Earth. Personally, I don’t know that many people who went to Duke. Therefore, I’ve never had firsthand experience with obnoxious friends calling you after a game to tell you how terrible UNC’s basketball or football teams are. However, all of my friends who went/go to State are insufferable. Throughout both football and basketball seasons. Insufferable I say.
3) Do you like Barry Obama more than Bill Clinton?
F to the No. Not even close.
4) What’s something that really pisses you off? Usually, you just talk about stuff you like.
Cable news. There’s nothing on earth that frustrates me more than 24-hour cable news. As a journalism student, I found it unpalatable. And it’s only gotten worse. I often compare it to professional wrestling. Everyone plays the role of journalistic caricatures who spew out the worst type of yellow journalism. Like wrestling, people know who will win and lose each fight and who is supposed to say what when.
