Since my post, giving the nod to Hay Girl Hay, I’ve thought a little about other blogs [mostly new reads for me] that I’m into. I narrowed it down to five and put them below:
(1) PHIL LOL O GIE — This is my future sister-in-law’s blog. She’s a much funnier, wittier writer than I am. She lives in Philadelphia and balls out.
(2) YummyBro — Someone actually sent me this website last week thinking I would like it. I started looking through it and found that it was, let’s say, thebomb.com. This guy used to play for the Padres and the Phillies and has a similar format to my blog (in the sense that he often puts up mindless banter and awesome ish).
(4) Cooper Frederickson — You may notice that I put up posts from this blog with some frequency. Not to give myself too much credit, but I see this blog as a much more highbrow version of mine.
(5) The Belly Rules the Mind — I’m all about learning out to cook. It’s actually my number one priority as I move into the “domestic” stage of my life. I plan on providing Reckner with some top notch meals, and this is a great site that provides delicious meals and recipes.
I actually get a decent amount of inquiries regarding Reckner. For instance, someone recently asked, simply, “What is Reckner’s favorite Tumblr blog?” I hesitate to answer this simply, but I owe it to you all to answer the question.
It all started with Literally, Genevieve Clare (a blog that no longer exists). This was her favorite blog, and she still comments that she wishes it still existed.
Subsequently, she turned to Scenes-From-My-Hood (another blog that, while you can visit the link, does not have new posts).
Two down — so what is her new favorite? What is Reckner’s go-to blog?
Unquestionably, it’s Hay Girl Hay. Dare I say that this blog is kind of the female version of my blog, which is why I think Reckner likes it so much. But in all honesty, Reckner probably likes Hay Girl Hay more than my blog, and that’s fine. Last night, Reckner sat on the couch in stitches while she read through the day’s posts. Namely, all the references to Teen Mom 2.
So congrats, Hay Girl Hay. It may not mean much to you, but Reckner is all about your ish.
